How we protect your data
CompanyCheckr is used by professionals making onboarding, credit and compliance decisions. Here's how we handle the data you trust us with.
Encryption everywhere
All traffic between you and CompanyCheckr runs over TLS. Data at rest — search history, watchlists, account details — is encrypted using industry-standard AES-256 by our managed infrastructure provider.
UK & EU hosting
The app and its database are hosted inside the UK/EU region. We do not transfer customer records to jurisdictions without an adequacy decision, and we don't sub-process personal data outside the region without a written agreement.
GDPR-aligned processing
You can export or delete your account and search history at any time from the app. Public registry data we display about UK companies is processed under legitimate interest — the same basis Companies House itself relies on.
No resale of your searches
Your searches, watchlists and reports are yours. We never sell, share or license customer search behaviour to third parties, and we never use it to enrich or target companies you've researched.
Responsible use of AI
Parts of the report — including the AI insight summary and reputation score — are generated by large language models. These outputs are decision-support only and should never be used as the sole basis for a decision that materially affects a person or business. Every AI-generated field in the app is labelled and cited.
