How do quotas reset?

Monthly quotas reset on the 1st of each calendar month at 00:00 UTC. Unused checks do not roll over.

What happens if I upgrade or downgrade?

Plan changes take effect immediately. Stripe automatically prorates the difference — you're billed only for the time you used the previous plan.

What happens if I cancel?

Cancellation keeps your plan active until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account drops back to the Free plan. Your history and saved data remain accessible.

Officers are cross-checked against the UK Disqualified Directors Register. News is aggregated from multiple trusted web sources with publish dates and inline citations.

How fresh is the data?

Companies House and disqualification data is fetched live on every search — so it's always current. News is cached for 6 hours so repeat lookups for the same company are free and instant.

What is the risk score?

A transparent 0–100 score blending company age, current status, outstanding charges, insolvency history, sanctions hits, disqualified directors, address red flags and phoenix patterns. Higher scores mean higher risk. The score is explainable — every contributing signal is shown in the report.

What is phoenix-director detection?

For every active director we pull their full UK appointment history and look for two patterns: prior companies that ended in dissolution, liquidation, administration or receivership under a short tenure (under 36 months) — and any prior failed company whose name shares meaningful words with the company you're checking. Two or more short-life failures, or a single name re-use, flags the director as a phoenix risk. Every contributing appointment is shown with dates and a direct link to Companies House.

Can I search by company number or director name?

Yes. The single-check card lets you search by company name, jump straight to a CRN, or look up an officer by name (with optional date of birth to disambiguate common names). Officer results show every appointment they hold, with risk badges for disqualified, sanctioned or phoenix-pattern individuals.

Every officer in our results has a shareable, SEO-friendly profile page showing their full appointment timeline, risk summary (sanctions, disqualification, phoenix patterns), and frequent co-directors — useful for stakeholders, audit trails or public sharing.

How does the red-flag timeline work?

Every single-check result includes an at-a-glance red-flag timeline derived from the company's own filings and accounts: overdue accounts, gazette strike-off notices, winding-up or liquidation filings, charges and judgments, confirmation-statement gaps, and current insolvency status. Each flag is colour-coded by severity with a direct link back to the source filing.

What is the web-presence panel?

On every check we auto-discover the company's official website using targeted web search and confidence scoring (UK TLD preference, matching company-number or postcode on the page, etc.) — then optionally fetch their Trustpilot rating, review count and snippets. Trustpilot lookup is a paid-plan feature; website discovery is available to everyone.

How does the AI reputation score work?

We combine three independent signals — Trustpilot ratings (where available), Companies House filing risk flags, and publicly available employer review sentiment — and ask our AI model to produce a single 0–100 score, a one-line headline, and up to three strengths and three concerns in plain English. The score is cached for 7 days per company so repeat lookups are instant. Every contributing input is shown alongside the score, so the result is auditable, not a black box.

Where does the social-presence data come from?

We search the public web for the company's most likely profile on LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, then score each candidate against the registered name and (if known) the company's website domain. Each match has a confidence rating — high, medium or low — so you know how much to trust it.

Is the Free plan enough for occasional checks?

Yes — Free gives you 15 Companies House checks, 5 news fetches, and 1 monthly preview each of the AI reputation score and social-presence discovery. Enough to qualify a handful of leads or suppliers per month. If you're running ongoing due diligence, watchlists, bulk uploads, or you want unlimited use of the premium signals, upgrade to Essential or Professional.

How accurate are the employer-sentiment summaries?

We surface publicly available mentions from sources like Glassdoor and Indeed via web search and feed them to our AI model purely as additional context for the reputation score — we never republish the underlying reviews. Some pages are protected by bot-checks, in which case the reputation score falls back to Trustpilot and filings risk flags alone. Always treat employer sentiment as one signal among many, not a substitute for direct reference checks.

Only you and your workspace admin. Search history is private to your account. We never sell or share search data with third parties.
